“Give thanks to God”

Giving thanks to God

Many times we are so consumed by the things that are “lacking”, you know, that we lose perspective of every thing, you know you look at your life and there is this missing, you don’t have this, salary could have been much higher, a certain sibling has a problem, you phone has an issue(s), sth at home is amiss, you face has pimples, this person has said this, and yes you know that definitely, it could be better, you even look at your friends, peers and life seems to be working for them, they are stepping into places you have desired for a long, they are owning and enjoying those things, that honestly right now, you don’t see any hope of acquiring them, at least not in the near future and then you wonder and even ask God that for me, why is my life like this, you know, there is always just this one thing or even things missing and yes you are probably right, certain things we need just seem to always be absent. You know the problem with this is that all these gaps, “lacks” if I may, always if given over to end up consuming us and with time, you find that, they are all we are thinking about, yes we at times think about God but we also think about these things, to us they are also important. What we don’t realise is that the consciousness of all these “insufficiencies” justs ends up blinding us, its like a mist, or a fog or even scales in one’s eyes, we lose perspective and in the end start complaining, it starts smalls and is always small for some but it’s always there, most times, we don’t realise that it’s there because like I’ve said all we can see is that that is missing. We then form a habit of complaining, its actually very subtle, we never see ourselves, as culprits of this vice but like all dangerous and destructive things, it’s only powerful because we can’t see it. If it is exposed by the light, then like a snake, it can no longer pose any danger.

You know this complaining is so powerful, it caused the children of Israel to wonder in the desert for all those years, think about it, it’s the only reason they were there for all that time

You see we read their story and are like; but these guys also, after seeing all these powerful signs, wonders and miracles, we call them. After seeing all these things by the hand of God, really what are the canaanites to such a God, we ask. And yes , because we are seeing with clear perspective their lives, it just doesn’t make sense the fact that these are even afraid of these canaanites. We look at them and are in shock at how unbelieving someone can get. Little and by this I mean, very little do we realize that the same thing that ate them up, is the same thing that is feeding the life out of us, COMPLAINING. These guys complained at everything, the very first sight of a lack got them into complaining which caused them to forget. Oh we always wonder why they were quick to forget. Little do we realize that we are blinded by the same vice, complaining.

The truth is God is always, He is always very visibly working in our lives, and that’s for a fact. When you sit down and just ponder upon your life, you will realise that surely, God has been with you, you will begin to see things that only could have been done by your Father who loves you. When you look at your life, you will realise that there is always something to thank God for, always. Just like there will always be something to complain about, there will surely always be something to be thankful for.

Imagine if instead of complaining we thanked God, Oh how much light there would be. Imagine if the children of Israel had instead thanked and formed a habit of being thankful, how much faith this would release, or what little time they spend in the desert, or rather what little time we would spend with that insufficiency. So we find that being thankful is as strong or even stronger than complaining. If only we made a habit of always in all circumstances being thankful to God, how much light and how much clearer we would view life and how easier it would be to trust in God.

Nothing But The Blood

It all started the moment i shed my blood on the cross. The veil was torn, peace was made and now you have access to my throne which is life to you.

Hebrews 9:13-15( For if the blood of bulls and of goats and of ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies to the purifying of the flesh. How much more shall the blood of Christ who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to God, PURGE YOUR CONSCIENCE FROM DEAD WORKS TO SERVE THE LIVING GOD!
My Blood speaks for you. The moment i shed this, i released you. It speaks for you. If there’s anything to boast in, boast in my blood. Its not about you any more
Ephesians 1:7(In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace)
Ephesians 2:13-14(But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near by the blood of Christ. For He is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us!

Nothing can stand in your way.. I receive you as innocent as you are.. Do not forget this. My blood speaks for you every minute, every second and for all eternity!!

‘Worship is Freedom’

Worship is freedom. Giving up on all cares and not minding about what others will think about you. Its about losing yourself and getting lost in His presence. This is a place where the Rivers in you begin to flow. Refuse to be intimidated. Refuse to be overshadowed by fear. We are no longer slaves of fear. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of love and of a sound mind ( 2 Timothy 1:7).

Worship is freedom but besides it being freedom, we should know that it is a freedom that only God can give. You have to reach a point where God has to deal with you. A place where He has to work on you. A place where you have come to an end of yourself and let Him flow in you with no limitation. This can only be attained in prayer. Seeking and communing with Him. He will teach you. He will deal with you. Trust me on this.

Worshipers, we need God to deal with us. We constantly  need to commune with Him. To know Him and freely enjoy worshiping Him. When we abide in His presence, fear and intimidation have no option but to vanish.

I STILL SAY WORSHIP IS FREEDOM.

‘God desires you’

God created man to fellowship with him. He desires us more than anything else; more than anything you can offer. The best you can ever offer to God is giving Him your whole self (Romans 12:1) and let Him take charge of your life. This is a place of absolute surrender and true worship. God wants us more than anything we can ever give Him. He wants you more than your ministry, more than your money, again more than anything. He wants you to know Him. Ministry will make more sense when you have known Him. He is the life that flows through ministries.

Many times we give unto Him all we can but forget that most importantly its us He desires most! We forget that He wants to give us more than we want give to Him. God wants to relate with you intimately. This calls for prayer and worship. Cultivate this friendship. The Holy Spirit desires to share with you, to guide you and to teach you. Fellowship with God will make everything else easy. This relationship causes one to minister and to offer from a revelation of whom they serve.

The Holy Spirit calls us deeper in fellowship with Him. He is willing to take us deeper in prayer and worship. Everything is by Him. Nothing is by power nor by might but by only Him (Zechariah 4:6). Tell Him you want this and receive this grace that He gives you.

‘Worship becomes worship when you behold the one you worship’

When you behold Jesus in His Glory, you will desire nothing else but to declare His greatness, His beauty, His splendor, His love, until a point of loss for words. Your spirit will not help it but to worship Him. Worship becomes worship when you see the one you worship. By seeing i mean using the eyes of your heart. You will not want to stop when you connect to Him, the source of life. This is what He reminds us; that we should always drink of Him. The very cup that does not run dry. Jesus will make Him self known to them that diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). They will worship in spirit because they know Him. You will not need to see Him physically to testify of His greatness. No you will not but deep inside your spirit, there is a testimony of Him!!
